The following document outlines how Homes For Ukrainians processes user data.

We do not share any data with third parties or sell user data.

Refugees

We do not ask refugees looking for accommodation to create and account or share any information. If a refugee chooses to contact a host to enquire about accommodation we will capture their name and contact details (email and phone number). These will be shared with the host by email (via the website) which can only be authorised by the refugee choosing to contact the host. This information is shared with the host in order for them to be able to contact the refugee and respond to their enquiry.

Listing accommodation

We do not ask an individual to create an account in order to list accommodation. During the listing creation stage we capture various information about the service being offered, the person and their interests. On the listing creation form we make it clear which information will be made public and which is kept confidential. The public display of a host’s email address and phone number is optional and at the consent of the person creating the listing. Confidential information such as location will only be used for matching and search purposes. A host’s listing may be made available when a refugee’s search criteria matches the information in the listing. A host accepts to receive an email from the refugee in response to their advert. The message from the refugee will be sent via the website to the email address specified in the listing. We do not store messages between refugees and hosts once the message has been sent.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored.

We will keep the information provided for the listed accommodation until the site closes (based on demand) or until the user who created the listing deletes their listing which can be done at any time using a link that we send the creator of the listing in an email at the point of the listing creation. We will then dispose your information by removing it from our database.
